Short-listed nominees announced

A chef, a learning champion, a principal and a maths tutor are among 100 unsung heroes within the further education and skills sector whose work has been recognised by the 2008 QIA STAR Awards.

The first round of judging for the awards has been completed and the full short-list is now available to view on the STAR Awards website. QIA has been overwhelmed by the record number of high quality nominations received for this year’s awards.

This year’s short-listed nominees come from a wide spectrum of further education providers, and nominations were received for staff ranging from the most senior to the most junior.
